Group Grope - Link Lovin’

Stratocaster Definition of Group…any number of entities (members) considered a unit
Definition of Grope…(slang) Grab or squeeze

Entering this thing called the blogosphere has been very interesting for this nature loving, rock and roll soul, hanging at the creek during lunch hours gal. It was Pink Floyd’s - Another Brick in the Wall that got me through high school, chasing my brother-in-law’s brother (thank god I didn’t catch him).

There are to many famous groups that come to mind, Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble, Grand Funk, Led Zeppelin, Humble Pie, Emerson Lake & Palmer, The Beatles and even The Highway Men who have shaped what we know as famous groups.

What made these groups? Their loyalty and their dedication to one another and their passions.

As a beginning Blogger and Internet Marketer, there are several people who have assisted me in driving my passion for blogging and posting.

This is my group grope to them…..

Rob over at The Bloggeries Forum, my first experience with bloggers, and quite a wealth of information to be had.

Frank over at Technology Blog & More, took his time, his knowledge to teach me and help me out of a terrible header and blog layout.

Stan at Razzball, who no matter what he posts on the forums makes me laugh and I find a tip or two from.

Acadia over at Superficial Gallery and the Bat Cave Forum where humor takes a twisted turn.

Small Business Brief Forum, where I met several nice people and gained some great contacts.

Entrecard - gave me a jump start with my new blog and quite a great resource to find fellow bloggers and gain some loyal readers.

Becky who was my mentor and taught me what a keyword was… she is supposed to be working on Reality TV Burnout but has been slacking big time!

SueZ a real Mark Farner Fan who sent my site onto Mark Bowsher and gave me some really great kudo’s

Mark Bowsher over at Mark Farner’s Website, who posted one of my sketches and gave me quite a bit of exposure, thank you.

Brian who runs Blogengage, what a great venue for us to post our blogs and our interests. This site has really done well, and is a great resource for anything blogs.

Sam and his Controversial Marketing Blog for giving me an honest critique that made me seek out Frank for a much needed makeover.

Danny over at Guitar Players Center for being a fan, being loyal and being honest, and from what I hear a kick ass guitarist!

Tony over at Hawkhost, who no matter what stupid question I instant message him with, he is kind, supportive and quick to respond.

I group grope all of you! Sending you some link love! Go grope some others, it may be fun.

To all those who have commented, there are to many to list, thanks !

Spongebob gives a cartoon cheers to contests!

Posted by: User ImageSusie  //  Category: Pencil Sketches

Sponge Bob BacardiCheers! I was out and about stumbling this morning and ran across a fellow blogger running an awesome contest that uses ArtPad.  Woohooo.. I found a new toy to check out!

This is a simple contest similar to the contest I won on Station Atomica with his Entre-card Anti Contest.  Quick drawings and just plain old fun, with a bonus at the end. I did not even know there were credits involved! Plain old fun - no sign up for this, write this, do this, dance upside down, bowl between your partners legs or have a chinese fire drill!

This is a spongebob that I morphed into a picture from Cabo San Lucas - at the very tip of the penisula! I did this in charcoals and had to add the bottle of Bacardi for good cheer!

Weight Watchers Journey Take 4

Posted by: User ImageSusie  //  Category: Weight Watchers

Ten Months after Weight WatchersThanksgiving before Weight WatchersI have delved into the weight watchers journey yet again over the past two weeks.  I was online reading and ran across a blog that has been a joy to read - the post that struck me that day was 100 and 100  when I originally lost the 50 pounds of waddle, I would not exercise, for crying out loud, I had to change my eating habits, and I was not going to exercise…but we all plateau.  This post reminded me.. it’s gotta be done.

Realizing I was at the point of umppfff..when I got out of bed, I headed to my local WW meeting.  I hemmed and hawed for several months..been there, done that, met goal 4 times.. originally loosing 50 pounds in 10 months.. as you see by these pictures and my huge plate of food! Thanksgiving 1998 - with the Turkinator.. 27 pound bird.. think it all went down my gullet.

I have found alot of great advice from the gentleman who posted 100 and 100 and I found it through Entrecard.   Saphrym gives a daily blog of what is going on through his weightloss journey..and in a round about way keeps saphrym-rocks007.jpgpeople in check that he is not even aware of.

After my meeting tonight, loosing 7.6 pounds in two weeks, and counting every morsel that goes in my mouth.. I jumped on his blog and ran across an interesting contest, and thought..what a way to end my day.  Work has been miserable, and I am trying to keep a positive attitude going on, even had to take a mental health day yesterday..so not to be unemployed,  I end my day a positive note.. My three minute sketch - Saphrym Rocks…keep up the good work, the good writing….

Good Night Book, Good Night Computer, Good Night Moon! (by the way..is an awesome book!)

An entrecard contest for artists of all types

Posted by: User ImageSusie  //  Category: Pencil Sketches

Arnold The Terminator in three minutesArnold Schwarzenegger in three minutes! A contest is happening at Station Amotica not your usual contest, but a fun one at that! Draw a magical unicorn or a picture of Arnie from memory! This is what I came up with..the old image from Terminator.

Sketching should be fun, and not always accurate, so I throw this out with Arnie and his attitude!
